Information about Dominic
I am a friendly and confident masters graduate from the University of Bristol. I studied Physics and Philosophy MSci and graduated with first class honours and consistently excellent grades. I also received a project commendation from the physics department and I am currently working towards a publication in a leading philosophy of physics academic journal.
I find Maths, Physics and Philosophy deeply beautiful and exciting, and want to share my engagement and ability with young people. There is nothing better than the spark in someone`s eyes when they suddenly understand an idea. I take pride in simple but precise explanations to develop students ability, whilst also maintaining an excitement in the subject matter. I would love to help any child grow into a more capable and confident learner, able to succeed in all their academic pursuits.
Availability: I am very flexible and keen to work within your schedule to find the best time to teach.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I spent 2 years working with Creative in Excellence, a professional tutoring service aimed at primary and secondary students. I therefore have professional experience in engaging with difficult ideas in a simple, easy to understand way. I understand the importance of problem solving and ways to encourage it in students.
I have also spent all my years of learning playing an active role in supporting my friends and colleagues education, from GCSE through to final year university - I delight in the challenge of clearing a fog of misunderstanding to help people reach a place of academic clarity.
