I am a secondary school teacher with over 20 years of experience. I love teaching and really enjoy working with all of my students. I firmly believe that understanding how a student learns is fundamental to delivering lessons in a way that best suits them. Students often come to lessons lacking in confidence or worried about what will be expected of them. You will come to enjoy our sessions. The most important thing is to put you at ease as soon as possible, then to find out what it is that YOU want. To help you achieve this I employ all kinds of strategies to help you learn and remember. You`ll be amazed at how many ways there are to learn and you`ll find that these will be useful for you right across the curriculum. I have Experience working with a diverse range of students, including those with special educational needs and those aiming for scholarships. I have taught English at GCSE and A-level. I have also taught English as a foreign language to adults (IELTS, TOEFL & Cambridge) and prepared students for Cambridge examinations (PET, FIRST and Cambridge Advance Online). I am familiar with all exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and Cambridge and therefore recognise the current academic demands placed upon students.
