Availability: I`m available every day of the week, though times vary.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have experience in tutoring mathematics and physics to A Level and GCSE students, as well as peers on my bachelors course. I am comfortable with working with all syllabuses including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have taught adults in both professional and sporting contexts. I spent one year as a rowing coach at University of Bristol, and have run multiple training sessions for clients and colleagues throughout my professional career.
My preferred tutoring approach is to focus on the problem areas of students, and to address these areas by working through examples. I believe planning in advance can help to ensure that students receive most value from our sessions, though am also happy to respond to ad-hoc queries or requests.

Hal has been great at explaining some difficult concepts of A level maths to my son. He has managed to break things down and check that my son has understood before moving on. Hal has also helped us structure revision by setting questions at my request so my son knows exactly what topics he has covered. He has given my son so much confidence in a short time he now actually believes he can do the subject again!
