Information about Nick
I have a Ph.D. in English from Cambridge (but I`m nice and not at all scary), and I started out teaching English to university students. Since then I`ve really enjoyed teaching English and Drama to school students in time off from my career as a theatre director, as well as teaching English to foreign students (I`m CELTA qualified). So let`s see how I can help! I`ve taught quite young children and would be very happy doing exam preparation, essay or conversation practice. Whatever you think you need to improve your confidence and skills.
Sadly I am not able to write university or coursework essays FOR you! People do ask me to do this now and again and while I like to help in any way I can, writing other people`s essays is fraud! I`m always very happy to offer sessions on study skills though and of course I can give a huge amount of help making what you`ve written yourself amazing. Often it only needs that one great idea to make the words flow.

Feedback For Nick (3)

Nick did not score highly with us. He was unprofessional as he abruptly stopped all lessons with my child giving no reason for this. We repeatedly emailed and phoned him but he would not return any of our calls. My child was left with no tutor so close to the exam date. This I found highly unprofessional so would not recommend him as a tutor..

Nick`s essay feedback was helpful, however, he clearly did not know 2 out of the 4 English Lit texts I was studying. At least not well enough to be of any assistance. I often had to rearrange my lessons with Nick as he would double book them or occasionally he would be late. The last time I contacted Nick for a lesson was four weeks before my English A-Level exam we arranged a time yet Nick never showed up, he did not give a reason for his failure to show up nor did he ever come into contact with me again. I found this extremely disappointing and rude. Definitely would not recommend.

Nick was wonderful with my daughter, he gave her back the confidence she had lost (in this subject). He can relate to his pupil and make learning seem easy and fun, therefore less stressful.
He knows his subject and has the ability to teach in a very positive way.
