Information about Jonathan
Hi,
I am a qualified secondary school teacher and senior leader with ten years experience in the UK education system, specialising in RE, Government and Politics, Citizenship and careers advise and guidance into higher education. I have taught both in London and Manchester schools and have worked most recently as an Assistant Vice Principal (AVP) in Manchester.
I specialise in Religious Studies (RE) at KS3 and KS4. My classes have consistently above national and school averages. My most recent GCSE class produced the best progress score for any cohort in the school (the whole school Progress 8 score 0.78). I was especially pleased with the results for the EAL cohort, where students made sigificant progress from their target grade.
I also specialise in careers advise and guidance into higher education. I currently work in Access and Participation to higher education for the University of Manchester. In my recent role of AVP I oversaw the school`s personal development provision, including careers advise and guidance. I ensured that students going on to further and higher education was above national average, and in a recent Ofsted report, the personal development provision was ranked as Outstanding.
