Information about Sarah
I love to teach and have been teaching now for over 15 years in both private and public settings. I actually began my teaching career in Japan, where I taught English as a second language. I enjoyed this experience so much that it was my dream to become qualified and teach at a secondary level.
Over the years, my enthusiasm has grown and now even more so, I am passionate about teaching and learning, particularly those children who are underachieving in some capacity. I have been working as a private tutor since 2014, visiting students and their families in their homes. During this time, I have seen my students flourish both in their confidence and academic ability. Currently, the situation now has meant that I teach online which has allowed me to be even more adept with technology and resources.
As a private tutor it is my responsibility to keep abreast of any changes in the British Education system. I take every opportunity to read and learn about new teaching and learning strategies so I can offer my students the very best in 1-2-1 education. Alongside this, I am also studying for a Psychotherapy degree as I am a huge advocate of mental health and well-being. It is my ambition that in the future I can support students and their families with the pressures of home and school life.
I hope from this brief account that you can recognise my inert ability to inspire students with my teaching, and offer them an environment where they thrive and grow to reach their true potential. It is to this end that I hope I have the opportunity to perhaps tutor you!
