Information about Aldijana
I am currently a Sociology Subject Leader for AQA A-Level and GCSE, a qualified examiner for A-Level and a tutor for all key stages in the subject.
For the past two (2022-2023) years i have a success rate of A*-B grades.
I use my specialist knowledge as an examiner and my in-class teaching to maximise success and help tutees achieve their full potential in exams. I have great knowledge of mark schemes and what is required for tutees to achieve top marks. I use this to deliver lessons to tutees by helping improve essay structures for all exam question (shorts and extended). To aid this, I give tutees a `success criteria` which includes strategies to maximise marks. I can provide tutees with many past papers and model answers, especially for difficult questions such as Methods in Context. All of this has enabled students in the previous years to gain A-A* grades.
I also believe in the importance of supporting each learners needs, whether that is through stretch and challenge or differentiated learning. I can clearly guide and instruct tutees in each cognitive step of the learning process to achieve substantial and measurable progress. I set tutees additional work if necessary to further support learning. Furthermore, I instruct tutees how to effectively revise using innovative and proven strategies. This will help them grow confidence and as independant learners.
I understand that Sociology may be a new subject for many tutees. Therefore, I often use contemporary examples and news stories to help capitvate tutees understanding of some theories and key arguments that are not used in text books.
Finally, I am a motivating and approchable tutor who enjoys teaching Sociology to a diverse number of students from all backgrounds and communicating with parents regarding progess.

Aldijana tutored my daughter for A Level Sociology up to taking the exam. She boosted her confidence immensely and my daughter wished she had been with her earlier in the year.
