Information about Rupinder
I am Rupinder and currently working as a Chemistry Teacher at Kings Education, London. Prior to this, I worked as a chemistry Technician at Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School and Dulwich College. As a lab technician, I have gained direct and practical experience of the importance of health and safety in teaching and know the boundaries of what thing I may and may not do. I have completed my PhD (Biophysical Chemistry) in May 2021 from the Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India. The title of my PhD thesis is “Micellization and Binding Behavior of Surfactants in the Presence of Bioactive Molecules”. I have imbibed best study practices from the very beginning of my research and my aim is to accumulate knowledge from all possible sources.
Back in India, I have four years teaching experience as a lecturer. Where I taught Chemistry to BSc classes. As a highly qualified chemistry tutor, my primary goal is to provide chemistry education that promptly identifies areas of weakness and removes barriers to success in learning. There are several fundamental concepts that I introduce in my first lesson, which I then gradually improve students` understanding and confidence in challenging topics.
At GCSE and A-level, I relied on a tutoring approach based on exam preparation. This teaches students how to think critically about scientific questions by improving their understanding of the material. For challenging topics, I encourage students to make Flash cards or Mind maps from previous exam papers. In order to revise swiftly and efficiently before their exams, they use these tools.
Chemistry is My passion, and I want children to learn about and explore the world of science through my lessons and other means of instruction.
Availability: In the working days, mostly I`m available in the evenings (after 6.00 pm) and on weekends. If you desire in-person lessons, I am willing to travel up to 20 mins from my house.
