I am a 29-year-old native English speaker with over 5 years of experience teaching English to a wide range of students in language schools in South Korea and here in the UK. This has included teaching classes of up to 30 students as well as teaching 1:1. I believe that the most effective lessons are fun, engaging and emphasise the real-life application of what is being learned in class.

Teaching experience:
I am experienced with tutoring for GCSE English and teaching English as a foreign language. I began teaching monolingual classes in South Korea and have gained a lot of experience teaching multilingual classes in the UK. Previous students have also included a wide range of ages, from 8 to 80!

Past 1:1 sessions have focused on a variety of needs depending on the requirements of the student. These have ranged from preparing international students for study in the UK, improving fluency for specific workplaces and preparing for proficiency examinations.

I am experienced with teaching classes which focus on preparing students for English Literature and Language GCSE`S (I`m familiar with the AQA, EDEXCEL and OCR structures) as well as international exams such as IELTS, TOEFL and CAE. I have also had the opportunity to teach classes focusing on Business English, Creative writing, Pronunciation, Academic reading and General English.

I work in a language school during the week and run a business from home but I am happy to travel to students on most weekday afternoons/evenings. This usually works well for adults and teenagers who have work or school during the day, however, if you require weekend tuition this can be arranged for a slightly higher fee.

- How much do you charge?

My rates start from £30 per hour depending on the challenge and location of assignment. Fees are agreed before commencement of tuition and depend upon the level of tuition, distance to travel and necessary preparation. There is a huge range in quality and value provided by tutors across the UK and I believe my rates reflect my experience and high standard of service.

- Where do you teach?
I`m happy to travel within a reasonable distance of Bristol although this will include an additional transport fee of £15 in addition to my hourly rate . This includes but is not limited to, Bath, Swindon, Gloucester and Cardiff.
