Information about Louisa
I am a 25 year old Psychology graduate currently living and working in South London. I studied my Psychology degree at Reading University, graduating with 1st class honours in 2015. I have since worked as a Learning Support Assistant and Autism specialist in a secondary school in Camden, and a Teaching Assistant in a primary school. I am offering tutoring sessions for primary age pupils in a range of subjects (with a Maths and English specialisms).
I also offer sessions for Psychology students studying their A Levels, undergraduate degree and masters level who are looking to improve their understanding of content and support essay writing, assignment and exam techniques. In addition, I am currently undertaking a postgraduate course in child, adolescent and family mental wellbeing at The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation trust, and would be able support any students studying in Counselling / mental health subjects. If you`re not sure or want to ask any questions please get in touch on here.
Availability: My availability varies throughout the week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday late afternoon/ early evenings work well for me, but we can come to an agreement together. Tutoring works well once a week but I have seen pupils twice a week and others fortnightly.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I am an experienced tutor and mentor and have worked with several students, from children in year 1 on general studies at primary level, through to adults studying psychology. My support has resulted in greater understanding and improved grades, confidence in sitting exams and final results. I am easy-going, motivating and friendly, and I can tailor the tutoring to your age, specific subjects and learning style. It would be great to have a chat over the phone or email to get to know a bit about what you would like to work on before our first tutoring session. I look forward to hearing from you :)
