Information about Nicola
I am originally from Germany and moved to the UK 7 years ago. I am an actress and a tutor.
I grew up in Belgium and am therefore fluent in both German and French. I have had some experience tutoring people of all ages, from GCSE to Adult learner level in those languages and have also worked as a Freelance translator, translating for the company ‘Blue Cells’.
In the past year, I worked as a Teaching assistant in various schools with kids from all different ages, from nurseries to A-levels. I have also worked within SEN (Special Educational Needs) schools. I very much enjoyed my time in these schools, although I do prefer teaching myself rather than assisting. And, of course I prefer predominantly teaching languages.
For the past year I have also been working as a German Customer Care advisor for Secret Escapes and Clos19. I enjoy finding solutions and helping people and have been able to improve my communication skills and IT skills during my time at Clos19. I try to apply those skills to my lessons where I can.
In my German and French lessons, I mainly focus on setting up a relaxed environment where mistakes can be made and where there is no judgement, as I want my students to feel comfortable and at ease. I try to make my lessons as fun as possible and am very patient.
I find it very rewarding when I can work towards a goal with my students and when we can set targets. I am also a very open and ambitious person who is determined to do a great job, so that we can achieve these goals together.
I believe I would bring lots of fun and energy to our lessons, so that time will fly by and we can find a way of enjoying the power of language! To our lessons, I will bring an excellent work-ethic and of course a positive attitude.
Availability: Available throughout the week monday-friday from mid-September.

Ms. Nicola is very patient and thoroughly professional in her approach. She comes well prepared for the lessons i.e relevant study materials. She is very friendly, polite and courteous, always starts the class on time.
