Having recently retired as a University teacher trainer, I have an excellent track record of gaining best results for individual students using personalised learning! I am familiar with all local school exam boards (STEM) and benefit from extensive subject knowledge.

Alan is an experienced and caring teacher who believes that all individuals have the potential to succeed with careful support and patient guidance. He is a firm believer that an excellent understanding of the STEM subjects is important to everyone, particularly with regard to career progression and future employability.
Based on extensive experience, Alan`s teaching and tutoring focuses on ensuring that the STEM subjects are interesting and relevant to the individual learner and meet their personal educational needs. Alan has a very successful history of teaching and tutoring at secondary school and University level.
With 40 years experience in STEM industries and education supported with an HND in Electronics, BSc in Physics and MSc in Technology Education, Alan is qualified to teach all of the STEM subjects to GCSE plus Physics and Electronics to A level. As a recently retired secondary school teacher and University lecturer, Alan is able to convey his passion and knowledge of the STEM subjects professionally tailored to suit each individual student`s needs.

Present- Recently retired senior lecturer for trainee teachers in the knowledge required and techniques of enthusing secondary school pupils into STEM disciplines. Also a tutor and mentor plus I deliver professional studies topics within education. I am also enrolled on a pt PhD at the IoE (Univ of London), STEM ambassador, DATA member, External examiner, AI for ESTYN, research active with `The Cardiff Group` plus articles published in the CELT academic journal.
