Information about Kourosh

Hi! I`m Kourosh. I have a first class master`s degree in physics, and I`m near the end of my PhD in Quantum Physics (that`s a mixture of experimental work and theory, trying to understand how to make room temperature superconductors and quantum computers a real thing we can use in our everyday lives).

I take a tailored approach to tutoring. In advance, we can briefly discuss the general topic and what you`d like to get out of the lecture - I`ll prepare necessary materials that we can go through together.

- I can help prepare for homework and exams - having marked many university-level assessments myself, I know what they`re looking for!

- I was home-schooled - I know how hard it can be starting from scratch and trying to teach yourself because I did it, and I truly believe I can help you to make the learning process as efficient and enjoyable as possible

- I am happy to tutor for lengths between 1 to 2.5 hours.

I have over six years of tutoring experience at all levels - from home-schooled kids aged 8 onwards to teaching Physics and Maths students at University (even a 55 year old!). For the last two years, I created a programming and maths workshop at Bristol University which has become widely successful (over 250 attendees).

- I can come to you!

Experience: I have over six years of tutoring and teaching experience at all levels - from home-schooled kids aged 8 onwards to teaching Physics and Maths students at University (even a 55 year old!). For the last two years, I created a programming and maths workshop at Bristol University which has become widely successful (over 250 attendees).

I know that assessments these days can be a lot of learning by heart, or jumping through hoops to score good marks - but I believe that learning the fundamentals of how science works, why a question is in the exam, and where the the maths comes from can really change your perspective of the subject, and make you really engage with it. Understanding is key, and I see it as my job to make sure that the intricate details really click for you so that you can understand the bigger picture.
